Nurse Yasemin Ruhlucan, who works at our Yıldırım Beyazid Campus, will deliver a Basic First Aid Training session for our students and academic staff. The training will focus on safe and accurate first aid practices that can be applied until professional medical teams arrive in an emergency.

The training will cover the following topics:

• What is first aid? Basic principles and responsibilities of the first aider
• Basic Life Support (BLS) applications
• First aid for bleeding
• First aid for injuries
• First aid for burns, frostbite and heat stroke
• First aid for fractures, dislocations and sprains
• First aid in cases of impaired consciousness
• First aid for poisonings
• First aid for animal bites
• First aid when foreign bodies enter the eyes, ears or nose
• First aid for drowning

This training aims to enable participants to respond more consciously and effectively to emergencies that may occur both on campus and in daily life.
