During the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, three Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities were successfully organized in line with the professional development needs of the instructors.

The first activity, entitled “Integrating Technology and AI Tools in Language Teaching to Motivate Learners,” was held online via Microsoft Teams on 3 March 2026 between 14:00 and 15:15. The session was delivered by guest speaker Amir Hamidi and focused on the integration of technology and artificial intelligence tools into language teaching practices to enhance learner motivation. Participants explored various digital tools and AI-powered applications and discussed practical ways of incorporating these tools into language teaching in meaningful and pedagogically effective ways.

The second activity, entitled “Effective Classroom Management,” was held face-to-face in classroom 234A on 1 April 2026 between 13:30 and 14:30. The session was delivered by Peace Chukwuemeka Chieke, an instructor at Bursa Technical University School of Foreign Languages, and focused on effective classroom management strategies. Throughout the session, participants discussed common classroom challenges and explored practical approaches to increasing student engagement, fostering positive learning environments, and strengthening classroom interaction.

The third activity, entitled “Strategies for Teaching Speaking,” was held online via Microsoft Teams on 5 May 2026 between 14:00 and 15:15. The session was delivered by guest speaker Sena Akyol and focused on strategies for developing learners’ speaking skills in language classrooms. Participants explored a variety of techniques and classroom activities designed to promote meaningful communication, increase student participation, and build learners’ confidence in speaking. The session also addressed common challenges in speaking instruction and presented different pedagogical approaches for overcoming these challenges.

All three activities provided valuable opportunities for instructors to reflect on their teaching practices, gain new insights, and share experiences with their colleagues. We would like to thank all instructors who participated in and contributed to these professional development activities
