Is class attendance mandatory?
Yes. Attendance at least 85% of the total course hours per quarter is required. Absence information is valid only for the current quarter and is reset at the beginning of each quarter.
In order to determine how many hours the student has to attend, the course hours that do not coincide with the holiday in the said quarter, that is, the course hours are taken as basis. For example, if 168 lesson hours are made in a quarter, the student has the right to be absent for 25 hours in that quarter. However, when there are holidays such as public holidays and snow holidays, the lesson hours that cannot be taught are deducted from the total lesson hours of that quarter and then 85% attendance rate is calculated. For example, if we assume that three working days are unexpectedly suspended due to various reasons and weather conditions in a quarter where 168 lesson hours are expected according to the official calendar, we find that there are 168-(3x5)=153 class hours for this quarter. The student will be able to be absent for a maximum of 22 hours in this quarter.
