Plurilingual Stories: Fostering Plurilingualism and Intercultural Awareness in the Preparatory Program


In a recent extracurricular activity titled “Plurilingual Stories”, students and teachers from the preparatory program had the opportunity to narrate short stories in their native languages or other languages they are learning. The activity invited participants to reflect on the challenges of expressing the same story in different languages, while thinking about nuances in language and cultural context.


Through this reflective process, students became more aware of their learning journeys and the adjustments they make when switching languages. The activity not only promoted linguistic awareness but also supported intercultural understanding by allowing students to see firsthand how language shapes perspectives, contributing to key values for democratic engagement.
